The La Jolla Loans Mortgage Fund I, LLC is a California Limited Liability Company, professionally managed and operated by LJL Funding LLC, a subsidiary of La Jolla Loans, Inc. and is permitted by the California Department of Corporations under permit number 506-3260*.

Loans selected by the fund are all underwritten by La Jolla Loans, Inc., using our underwriting experience and guidelines, developed over the last twenty years.

Day to day operations of the fund, including raising funds, oversight of the loan selection process, as well as investor relations, are managed by Johann deVilliers, the managing member of the fund manager, LJL Funding LLC.

Fund Manager

Johann deVilliers is experienced in the financial world, having been a member of the American Stock Exchange, National Association of Securities Dealers and having served as a Registered Investment Advisor of a mutual fund. In these capacities he participated in structuring international financing transactions that included mergers and acquisitions and raising both debt and equity capital in a number of different industries. In addition to holding senior management positions in a number of international public and private companies he gained valuable construction and engineering experience with 15 years in the mining industry. Johann earned a degree in Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and is registered as a Chartered Accountant (CPA).
